BACN Board:

The BACN Board is primarily responsible for developing the program for the monthly meetings of BACN. The board also addresses other matters concerning the direction and activities of BACN. Founder and Chairman

Harry Chapman, CMC, has over 30 years of experience across a broad set of disciplines including IT management, finance, operations and consulting. His mission is to help non-profit organizations become more effective through improved use of technology. In addition to IT assessment services, Mr. Chapman provides CIO services for several non-profit organizations including the Exploratorium, the San Francisco Ballet, the Ernest Gallo Clinic and Research Center and Edgewood Center. In addition to starting BACN, Harry is a founder of the Bay Area Consulting Group LLC.

Judy Baker helps consultants take bite-sized actions that stimulate profits. Over time, her clients gain confidence and clarity in their ability to connect with qualified prospects. They get traction and reduce the time and effort it takes to go from contact to contract. Give her your thoughts and she will build your brand awareness and transform your relationship with marketing. Judy is a certified Action Plan Marketing Coach who offers workshops; marketing mentoring groups and one-on-one coaching. She can translate your message into attention getting visuals. Expertise in publishing (print, video, audio, social media) is taking on a prominent role in her tool kit and in her Success Notes blog.

Judy draws on an extensive list of contacts to help find speakers for BACN. She contributes her design skills to BACN flyers and designed the BACN logo.

Judy Baker

Bill Gage is a senior business practices and information management professional with strong capabilities in operations and financial management. He is particularly skilled in bridging business needs with systems solutions by understanding strategic objectives and existing environments, and in developing operations and financial management systems and processes. Though a founding member of the Bay Area Consulting Group, Bill now works at Savitar Consulting.

Bill maintains the BACN membership roster and e-mail database, sets up Acteva, and sends out monthly meeting announcements.

Author-izer Sallie Goetsch (rhymes with “sketch”) started helping other people with their writing at the age of nine. Before going into the business of turning consultants into authors, she translated, directed, produced, and was sometimes forced to act in Greek and Roman plays, as well as founding an electronic journal. Her FileSlinger™ Backup Blog appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle. She co-founded the Podcast Asylum in September 2005 and has been doing extensive WordPress consulting since 2007.

Sallie is the person who greets you at the door with your name tags, in addition to serving on the Web 2.0 subcommittee, posting the Forum Notes, and updating the website with new program information.

Sallie Goetsch

Michael North has been engaged in Sales and Operations for 26 years working with universities as well as small, medium and global sized companies. He brings a comprehensive background in Sales, Project Management and Operations to every project. Mike has led design teams that have built national WANs and software development for Organ Transplantation as well as the some early portions of the Internet. Most recently, he has been working with the Not for Profit and Personal Coaching communities on ways to operationalize the web component to reaching their client base.

Michael handles most of the communications with BACN speakers, including coaching them on how to give a better presentation.

Gary White has been tackling strategic marketing challenges for 30 years. He started Pacific Crest Marketing in 1986 after seven years on both the agency and client sides of the advertising business. With over 23 consecutive years as a consultant, Mr. White has worked on branding, positioning and messaging for clients such as Citibank, Del Monte, DHL, Domaine St. George, Hewlett Packard, Novartis, VISA, Wells Fargo and YAHOO! Gary specializes in uncovering, defining and communicating the value his clients deliver to their customers. He has personally designed and conducted over 1,000 facilitated meetings all over the world including focus groups, customer advisory boards and strategy planning sessions.

Gary is a founding board member whose responsibilities include marketing strategy and finding star speakers for BACN’s special events.
